Paracale - Gold Capital of the Philippines

About Paracale

Paracale is a municipality in Camarines Norte known for its gold mining industry. It is often called the "Gold Capital of the Philippines" because of the long history of gold found in its area. Small-scale gold mining is still practiced by many residents today.

Aside from mining, Paracale is also known for its beaches, local crafts, and the famous gold jewelry made by local artisans.

What to See and Do

Location

Paracale is located about 40 kilometers southeast of Daet. It can be reached by bus or jeepney from the Daet bus terminal. Travel time is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Did You Know? Gold mining in Paracale has been practiced since the pre-colonial era. Local miners use traditional methods passed down through generations.
